This was by far the worst guesthouse stay I’ve had. The host was rude in every interaction. Even though the board says checkout is at 12:00, he made us leave at 10:30. Leaving the bathroom light on nearly made him angry enough to beat you, and when you step out of your room, he immediately goes in to check whether you’ve stolen anything. You can’t use the kitchen or its table, since only the host uses them, and he might get angry if you try. I politely asked whether the backyard was his garden, and he shouted back, “it is mine, only my garden”. If I could give a minus score, I would. STAY AWAY!!!

Hot water isn’t guaranteed. The host is very rude and noisy too. You can hear her snoring in the next room, and she talks loudly on the phone right next to your room. She apparently doesn’t like strangers, either. If you don’t like strangers, don’t open a guest house!

They’re liars! I booked a room in advance, but when I arrived they told me there was no room for me. It was a busy weekend in Tartu, with lots of people, and prices had gone up. They said I’d have to stay at another hotel for twice the price I’d expected to pay at the first one.
