Looming Hostel

I had to stay longer than planned while recovering from an injury, and everyone was kind and helpful. Their support made my recovery much quicker. It already felt like a cozy second home, with great staff and volunteers, and the breakfast was included and really good. Cheers :)

The hostel has a cute, homey feel, but there isn’t much common space, and it’s usually occupied by staff chatting together. That made it awkward to spend time there as a guest. The pillow also left my neck and shoulders hurting.

Everything felt carefully planned, from the solid beds and good stairs to the useful storage lockers and general organization. You can tell a lot of thought went into the details. Probably the most thoughtfully designed hostel I’ve stayed in. What a pleasure, I wish more places did it this way.

I left a day before my booking ended. The hostel is fairly far from the centre, though it’s close to the station, and it wasn’t very social when I visited in summer. The women’s dorm can’t be locked, and there’s no age limit, so older guests may be staying there. It’s decent, but looks a bit run-down. What bothers me most is being blocked from leaving a review on Hostelworld, which is why I’m posting here.
