The location was the sole good part for me. The shared kitchen was awful, and the service was terrible. They hold back 15 euros, saying it’s in case you leave your bed linen or rubbish bag behind, but there didn’t seem to be any concern for guests’ well-being. This seems better suited to friends coming to fish and party. Wi-Fi is advertised, but there wasn’t any. The café is another oddity: you can get coffee if someone notices you’ve come to work.

At least the sheets were clean. The place itself felt very worn, and the kitchen was dirty, with plates clattering against each other. We’d booked four rooms and breakfast, but were first told we couldn’t eat. Only after the booker asked again did they say we could get breakfast for 8 euros per person, so we ended up rushing to the shop ourselves. The rest of our group arrived a little later, after the owner had left and switched off their phone, and they couldn’t get the keys. The reception staff didn’t speak Estonian either.

The owners are Russian, and the service was good. The cafeteria serves tasty food. The setting is especially picturesque in winter.
