The apartment’s view was amazing and lifted our mood at the start of each day. The rest of the place was reasonably clean and nicely decorated, though nothing special. Getting into the building and apartment was a hassle. We had to coordinate with the building manager, who didn’t speak any English, and he would call the host for directions. Something always delayed us, whether it was no phone coverage inside, everyone being away at prayer time, or the host not answering. Even on the 13th floor, the soundproofing was poor. Street horns and traffic were extremely loud, and we could only sleep with earplugs. The building was very old and the neighborhood very dirty, though honestly that’s everywhere in Alexandria.

I feel safe here, and the service is always great, with a huge smile 😃. I wouldn’t trade my stay for anything. Every apartment I’ve been to has had its own special touch, whether it was the location, view, interiors, or simply the communication. Alexandria became this apartment for me.

We canceled because it didn’t feel safe to leave our car on a creepy street and hand the keys to the “guardian.” They claim to have private parking, but that’s nowhere close to what we found. We hadn’t even stayed in the room, and the owner said he’d refund us. Then he completely lied and refused to give our money back. Disgusting. The owner is a liar and a thief.

That view was gorgeous, and the apartment had everything we needed, including Wi-Fi and Netflix. It was very clean too. The only drawback is how narrow the street is for cars, but if that doesn’t bother you, it’s a lovely place.
