The atmosphere at night was one of the best parts of my stay. Al-Ma’moura comes alive with families, kids playing, music, funfairs, bike rentals, little street performances, and open cafés where people gather for tea and conversation. It feels relaxed and social, and you can join in or just take in the sea breeze and night view. I spent several days there, and it was one of my most comfortable and enjoyable stays in Alexandria. The apartment felt like a real home, with modern furniture, useful kitchen tools, and working air conditioning for the hot days. It was clean, well-maintained, and ready to use. The gated neighborhood is right by the sea, with furnished apartments and cabins for short or long stays. The beach is a few minutes’ walk away, clean and not too crowded. You can rent umbrellas and chairs, and it’s family-friendly. It was easy to spend the whole day there without going elsewhere. Nearby you’ll find small supermarkets, bakeries, seafood and Egyptian restaurants, grills, juice bars, and cafés. Everything is within walking distance, so there’s no need for a car if you’re staying in the compound or nearby. It also felt very safe and secure. Prices were affordable compared with other coastal areas, with good value for the space, location, and nearby amenities. Many rentals are family-owned, which gives them a personal touch, and you can negotiate if you’re staying longer. It works for weekend visits and longer summer holidays alike. There are playgrounds and clean walking paths for kids, too. Al-Ma’moura is a simple, clean, friendly place by the sea. It isn’t a luxury resort, but has the basics for a relaxing stay. I’d definitely return. The clean housing, beach access, and lively evenings made it a great choice. If you want to avoid crowded hotels in Alexandria, Al-Ma’moura Ashati is a practical and fun option.
