Mecca Alexandria

The staff were respectful and friendly, but that alone doesn't make this feel like a proper hotel. You're mostly paying for a place to sleep and a nice view. The room furniture is extremely old and basic, and the bathroom is very old and in bad shape. There's no trash basket, kettle, or drinking water. Even in December the bathroom water was freezing, and it only got a little warm after 15 20 mins.

Whenever I'm in Alexandria, this is my regular pick. The location is great, there's a sea view from every angle, the staff are professional, and it's clean. For me it's easily the best hotel in Alexandria. Prices have gone up a bit over the past couple years and are getting high for mid class visitors, so I hope they keep that in mind or offer more economical options with the same experience.

The captain, the F&B staff, and the security staff were especially kind and helpful. 100% recommend.

I came from the US United States and was so happy to have this stay. The security team were amazing and made me feel like family, and people here really tried their best to help. The place has been reinvented and looks really good now. I would give it four stars. The view was amazing and fantastic, better than what I've had at other brand name hotels where I paid hundreds of dollars.
