Sheraton Star

The nightclub left me especially frustrated: staff were rude and asked for extra money to give us a table. The drinks weren't up to standard, and it seemed that whatever you asked for required money. There were also a lot of things happening in the club that seemed illegal. The room wasn't clean when I arrived, with traces left by previous guests, and the bathroom hadn't been properly sanitized. The bedding felt worn, and the uncomfortable mattress made it hard to sleep. Staff weren't friendly, and their efforts didn't make up for the cleanliness problems or disruptive atmosphere. I left disappointed and wouldn't recommend this hotel for a restful stay.

The 12th-floor room had an amazing sea view, and the beds were the most comfortable. It was spacious, though a bit aged, and came with free soft drinks and fruit. My girlfriend and I had a great two-night stay at Sheraton Montazah Hotel. Service was top-notch, room service responsive, and the food was high quality, as you'd expect from a big name. The Wi-Fi was the fastest we'd come across in Egypt. A solid choice!

We didn't enjoy our visit to Sheraton. The receptionist was rude and unwelcoming when we arrived, and the service at reception was very bad. The rooms they showed us were old and small, and there was no breakfast at Sheraton. We then went to Rixos resort across the street. The people there, including at reception, were friendly and welcoming, and breakfast had a wide food selection. It was the same price as Sheraton.

The location is amazing, very central to everything in Alexandria, with beautiful views and extremely nice staff. The hotel felt a little outdated. Unfortunately, they couldn't keep my original 4pm checkout and moved me to another room, which was inconvenient. I also found the Mecca arrow on the table odd, considering people of other religions visit the country.
