Transit Alexandria

We could walk everywhere from this excellent location, since everything was so accessible, and the sheets were spotless. The room was clean, but I did find a cockroach the next morning. The bathroom is tiny, and there isn't enough room to close the shower curtain while you're inside it. It could definitely use some maintenance. Even so, I think the place is good value for money.

There was cigarette ash on the bed, and the room couldn't be locked from the inside with a key. The shower was broken and the water wouldn't flow. The room was cold, and when we asked the man at reception for another blanket, he forgot about it. We asked again, and he just said, "No" with an annoyed look. He had charged us more than the price in the app, and he seemed so weird and creepy that we couldn't argue. Early in the morning, people started building something right outside our window. It went on for hours, so we left early. This was the worst hostel I've ever stayed in. It was disgusting and far too expensive. I wouldn't advise anyone to stay here, unless you want complete trash.

There’s no breakfast, but prices are okay, and there are plenty of coffee shops and restaurants nearby. The building is old and rooms are basic, though fine, with comfortable beds. A few rooms have a nice sea view. In winter there’s no heating unless you ask for a heater. The shower has hot water, but it’s very small. The staff were helpful and friendly. The location is right in central Alexandria, with attractions like the Library of Alexandria, Qaitbay Castle, and the Aquarium of Alexandria within walking distance. A good budget option if you want a comfortable place and a warm welcome.

The room matched the pictures, though the cleaning could be better. The guys were really nice and ready to help with anything. The location is among the places we wanted to visit and the sea, so it worked well for us. Parking in front of the hostel was easy, with a small tip to the "gardian".
