Old Nubian guest house

Ramadan and Nasir were so kind, and we had a lovely time chatting and laughing with them over the Nile view. The tagine we had for lunch was beautifully textured and full of flavor, probably the best food we've had in Egypt. We stayed overnight too. The room is beautifully decorated, with glass bottles in the ceiling casting colorful light across the beds at midday while you relax in the air conditioning. Such a restful place. We'd definitely return.

We only stopped for lunch and didn't stay overnight. The Nubian food was average, but the peaceful spot beside the Nile has lovely views and lots of good places for photos. The riverside setting alone makes it worth a visit.

The place is beautiful, and the food was light on the stomach but packed with flavor. My family and I are all vegetarian, and after ten days traveling around Egypt, we all agreed this was the best meal we'd had.

We stopped in for lunch, not an overnight stay. The food was very good, especially the vegetables and Nubian bread. We ate on a balcony with floor cushions and a lovely view of the Nile.
