I liked spending time here with my friends because it was so peaceful. The shore stretches for about a kilometer, though the waves and dangerous currents make swimming really difficult. It’s a private compound about 21 km west of Alexandria, with around 500 villas and chalets owned by retired navy admirals. The village name translates as “Princes of the seas.” There’s a pool, but it’s reserved for owners, so outside tenants can’t use it.

It’s a quiet, private, secure spot on the North Coast, good if all you want is some peace. There isn’t much else to do beyond sitting on the sand and watching the waves at sunrise or sunset, or under a clear night sky. The place feels old, and the pool isn’t great. Still, it’s lovely for anyone looking for quiet.
