Grand Nile Royal Hotel at Nile Plaza

The hotel is inside an apartment building, and there's no sign explaining how to find it. You have to figure out for yourself that it's on the second floor. For what they charge, which is quite a lot of money in Egypt, the standards are very poor. I strongly suggest looking elsewhere. I made two bookings, one at the start of my Cairo trip and another for the end, after flying back from Aswan. On the first stay, I arrived around 3 am after my flight and didn't notice right away that my booking said “room with terrace and views over the Nile.” Instead, I got a small room with a window facing a view better left unseen. Things in the room were broken, and the aircon was extremely noisy. Breakfast was forgettable, random, and poor quality. For the second booking, the room wasn't ready when I arrived, so I waited about 20 minutes. This time I did get a room with a terrace as booked, but again there were broken things. The internet was completely down for more than two hours, so there was no Wi-Fi, and the hotel didn't even apologize.

Garbage, really. The bed was covered in hair, and there were lots of stains on the sheets and surfaces. The place didn't match its booking.com photos and was overpriced. I don't recommend it at all.

A clean and comfortable stay, though the garden view isn't nice. The hotel is part of a larger building, accepts many payment methods, and is a bit expensive.

The pictures are misleading, and the address is wrong. The building shown belongs to a real hotel. This is the actual hotel, and you can see how far away the other hotel, Nile Tower, is. That other one is really good.
