Parkside Boutique Serviced Apartments

For the price, it’s very budget friendly. The place is tidy and clean, and has more room amenities than hotels, including a cooker, washing machine, toaster, and microwave. We found it a special place to stay in Cairo, very central and easy to get anywhere.

The staff are welcoming and friendly, and the apartment is an okay option for a couple of nights, though I think you could find better if you shop around. It’s around a kilometer’s walk to restaurants and fast food outlets. Parkside Boutique Furnished Apartments, Heliopolis is about a 10 to 15 minutes drive from the airport. The apartments look much older than the website photos suggest, but they’re a reasonable size. There’s a full size fridge freezer, sink, two badly worn hot plates, tea and coffee making facilities, and a small amount of crockery, cutlery, and pots. The large LCD Smart TV has only a limited selection of English speaking channels, though you can use Netflix or YouTube. There’s also a tiny TV in the bedroom, more like a 12-in computer screen. The sofa is boxy and not very comfortable. The bathroom is average sized, with a decent sized shower and one shower head. Water pressure is okay, but could be better. The bedroom has two single beds pushed together to look like a queen size bed. They’re very firm, too firm for me. There are two cupboards with an ironing board, luggage stand, iron, and hair dryer.

The staff make you feel like family, especially Eman and Sara, who were so friendly and helpful, and always had wonderful smiles. Parkside is a good home away from home, with excellently furnished, well equipped, super clean apartments for short visits or even stays as long as 6 months. It’s in a strategic spot in the heart of Heliopolis, with all kinds of services nearby in this city that never sleeps.

The staff here are amazing. The apartment is very clean and in a central location. Highly recommend.
