Pearl Hotel

I’d recommended this hotel to my friends, but their stay was extremely disappointing. They arrived late at night and checked into the room reserved in their name, only to find a very dirty bed with yellow stains on the sheet and hair on it. They called reception several times with no answer, then went down and found nobody there to help. Because of the hygiene and lack of service, they checked out the next morning and moved elsewhere. The following day I called to complain to the manager. The receptionist said the manager was on vacation and promised someone would call me back, but nobody ever did. With the poor cleanliness, lack of professionalism, and terrible customer service, I won’t stay here again or recommend it.

The staff were genuinely kind and the rooms were kept very clean. The neighborhood felt safe and was mostly quiet, though lower floors can get some street noise. Room service was pretty good when I ordered it, and breakfast came free, but it was only okay. The rooms had the usual amenities, but were cramped enough that we couldn’t lay two suitcases flat. The bigger issue was the booking. We had a confirmed 10-day stay, then at check-in they said a system bug had left them overbooked for one night. We were told to check out that night and return two days later. The staff apologized and were nice about it, but it was still unacceptable and a huge hassle to pack everything again. Luckily we had family nearby to stay with. When we checked back in, the room felt like a major downgrade, smaller and on a lower floor. WiFi didn’t work in either room, so I used up most of my own data. And I’ve never cared much about hotel mattresses before, but both beds were really uncomfortable. I’d stay again, though it wouldn’t be my first choice.

The people here are friendly and really helpful. The place is quiet and tidy.
