Alaska Camp & Hotel

The location made it easy to get to the beach and all the action, right in the middle of everything. My room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were really nice and helpful. Big thanks to Mr. Karim, Ahmed, and Mahmoud. I had a great time at Alaska Camp Dahab and would totally stay again.

Alaska Camp & Hotel sits right by the Red Sea in Dahab, South Sinai, with direct access to the turquoise water. It has a hotel’s comforts alongside the relaxed, bohemian feel of a beach camp, and suits families, couples, solo travelers, and people looking for adventure. You can swim, snorkel, or dive just steps from the rooms, or relax and catch the sunset. It’s a short drive from central Dahab and easy to reach by taxi, so it works for both time by the water and exploring town. March through November is good for beach activities, diving, and relaxing by the sea. Mornings are peaceful for a walk along the shore, while evenings bring sunset views over the Red Sea. Ask for a sea-facing room or private cabana by the beach for a view of the turquoise water and mountains. Late afternoon is a nice time to have a refreshing drink and watch the kitesurfers go by. It can get busy in peak season, so booking ahead is recommended to secure preferred rooms and beach spots. Standing on the soft sand in the Red Sea breeze, watching the sun drop behind the Sinai mountains, feels like finding a private paradise. Shahd, the manager, was so lovely and sweet. She booked me a mountain trip on the spot in about 30 seconds, then arranged snorkeling for the next day, with no hassle. The location is right in the heart of Dahab, in the middle of the boardwalk and close to all the popular spots. I’d recommend it to anyone traveling solo and discovering Dahab for the first time. You won’t be disappointed by the location or the help they provide. God bless ❤️

The staff were rude, and the problems started on the first day. The bathroom was blocked, the air conditioning didn’t work, and the wardrobe was broken. We’d agreed on two rooms next to each other, but when we arrived they refused and gave us rooms apart. They eventually moved us into neighboring rooms, but the bathrooms were terrible. On our last day, we asked for a late breakfast to fit our bus schedule. They refused and said breakfast was finished, even though it was only a sample of a real breakfast.
