Oricana Hotel

Friendly staff and clean rooms.

The location is one of Oricana Hotel's biggest pluses. It's just south of the main bay, so I could walk to everything while staying clear of the constant noise and intensity around the bay and Talat Harb Street. It felt peaceful without being cut off. Most rooms look onto the pool and have a little private terrace. Having coffee there on a quiet morning was hard to beat. The rooms themselves are simple, clean, and well kept, with comfortable beds that felt medium-firm by European standards, soft Egyptian cotton sheets, dependable hot water, and a mini fridge. Housekeeping is by request, and when I asked, it was done quickly and without fuss. Ralph’s Bakery is right across the road, handy for European-style bread, sandwiches, and pastries. The pool is lovely for cooling down, though not really for swimming properly. WiFi was the weakest part. It was limited and only worked properly near the office or on some terraces. I used an eSIM from Holafly instead, and it worked perfectly all week. The management were helpful, responsive, and easy to deal with, and could arrange trips and transfers without hassle. There’s a language school next door, so kids playing can sometimes be heard. I liked the atmosphere it added, but anyone wanting complete silence should know about it. For a fair price, Oricana was a quiet, reliable, well-run base in Dahab, and one of my best budget stays. Full five stars.

The manager and staff were very friendly and ready to help with anything I needed. My room was clean, the shower had hot water, and there was a big pool to relax in. The location suited me well too. It’s a little south of town, on the quieter side, but restaurants, shops, and dive centers are still an easy walk away. A really nice hotel in Dahab.

For me, being away from the middle of the boardwalk is a plus. When it gets crowded in high season, you can enjoy a bit of peace and quiet here. It's the best budget hotel in Dahab.
