Aida Beach Hotel - El Alamein

There’s a lot of food, though you don't get to choose what it is. The rooms are great, and the older Moroccan-style decor is lovely. Two nice pools, including one with water slides, add to the appeal. It’s a peaceful place above the old Market with amazing views. I’d definitely return.

The beach is lovely, with white sand, clear water, and good cleanliness. The pool is extremely small, and the food wasn't tasty or varied. Rooms are spacious, but the furniture is very old, and the mini fridge was really loud. It's okay for a very short stay.

Hexa Beach was a disastrous experience for my family and me after we traveled from Germany for the Egyptian weather. We had paid nearly 5000 LE online and were looking forward to going. When I called to confirm, the representative asked whether we wanted a VIP upgrade. I said no, and she told me to hang up while she called back in five minutes. No one called, and they ignored all my later calls. We got no response or service despite paying a significant amount. That was unacceptable and deeply unprofessional, and I'd strongly advise others to avoid Hexa Beach to avoid the same problem.

The staff were very nice and even tried to upgrade me, but the language barrier meant I didn't understand what was happening until it was too late. There's a comfortable public beach right beside the hotel. My garden room didn't really match the photos, and the biggest drawback was having no hot water. It's a decent place to stay on the North Coast.
