We had a good seven-night stay at the Azal. Neama did a wonderful job keeping our room tidy and clean. She spoke a little English and was nice to chat with. All the staff were lovely, helpful, and organized, especially the head of breakfast service, who kept the wide selection of tasty fresh food topped up. Thanks as well to the kind in-house sewing lady, whom reception put me in touch with. She repaired my skirt. The room was large and had a nice balcony. Ask for a high-floor room with a pool view. The main issue was that the air conditioner only worked as a fan, and we learned all rooms were like that. We managed fairly well in February when it was a cool-ish 21C, but this would be a problem in summer heat. The pool is unheated and outdoors at basement level, with the hotel building all around it. In February the sun never reached it, so it stayed cold. If you want to swim in winter, bring a wetsuit. I’m exaggerating a little, but it’s not a great design. Outside, the area is shabby and traffic-choked at times, though it might improve once the metro extension construction is finished. Fortunately, the construction wasn’t noisy.

The pyramids and shopping are nearby, and the location and ambience were very good. Our room was clean and good, and the welcome and reception team were great. It felt like home, with good service and a warm welcome. The team was great, especially at reception: Mr Youssef, Mr. Sara, Mr. Hamdy, and sama. I had a good room and a very nice view. I’ll come back and would definitely recommend this hotel to others. Thanks.

Sara, Yosef, and Abdul treated us with care and professionalism throughout our time in Egypt. We were unexpectedly stranded because of the war in the Middle East, and during that difficult, uncertain period their compassion and steady support made us feel reassured and welcome when we returned. Their attention and willingness to go beyond what was needed helped us feel safe, valued, and cared for like family. I highly recommend Azal to anyone visiting Egypt. Our tour group got a very warm welcome from Mahmoud and Handy, the concierges. The rooms were bright, clean, and spacious, and the stay was beautiful and comfortable. I also met Sara, Abdul Latif, and Yousef, as well as Marvina from customer service. The hotel is well located in Giza, really close to Cairo. It has a relaxed atmosphere and lots of facilities, including a swimming pool, spa, restaurant, shops, and a pub.
