The room was huge, with three bedrooms, a living room, and a bathroom. There were signs someone had been living there, though: a small soccer ball and a baby cot were under the bed, along with a half-eaten drinking glass... Getting in was a bit unusual. We told the gatekeeper we had a booking and gave him the accommodation phone number from the reservation page. He called, handed us the key, and showed us around. He also said the place isn’t normally rented as a hotel, and there was no reception or anything since it isn’t a hotel. We booked through Agoda for about 1,500 yen per person per night. Once we got used to it, it was really comfortable!! There’s a supermarket, souvenir shop, cafes, and restaurants close by 👍

Clean, lovely accommodation near shopping and entertainment. The beach is 5 minutes away, and there’s a fixed-price shop open 24/7 just 2 minutes away. Highly recommend it.

The compound is awful. There can be no tap water for days, sometimes longer, and the water bills are exorbitant. The price is too high as well. Maybe Europeans just have bad luck here, or maybe the scams don’t work on locals. The only good thing is the location in El Kawther, but there are other compounds to choose from. I don’t recommend it, and I won’t go back.
