Continental Hotel Hurghada

Mahmoud deserves special praise for the way he treated us. As a traveler from Taiwan and an LGBTQ guest, I sometimes sensed that staff gave European visitors, who seemed to make up most of the older guests, more of the “default” service. It was subtle, but I noticed it. Mahmoud was different. He was friendly and kind to everyone, whatever their background, and treated me like any other guest, with warmth and respect and no judgment. That made my stay much more comfortable and welcoming. He’s a real asset to the hotel and a great example of hospitality. Thank you, Mahmoud.

The food was the best part for me, with lots of tasty choices. Breakfast could use a second coffee machine, though, because queues built up. The Italian and Marina restaurants were excellent, and the staff were very nice. The pool area was enjoyable, but the music could get too loud. Rooms were spacious and clean, although they definitely need renovation. There isn’t much here for sports. The gym is small and the equipment is very dated, while the tennis courts are in terrible shape, with lots of holes in the poorly maintained surface, so they’re not usable. Even with those shortcomings, I had a great holiday at Continental and would return.

The animation team is honestly the best, and we loved the waiters too. Everyone is so nice, open, and easy to talk to. There are activities every day, like volleyball and water polo. I really recommend coming here, it’s so worth it!

Mahmoud kept our room clean every day and did a great job, and Mahmoud the waiter took wonderful care of us. The room was comfortable and just what we expected. We had a fantastic stay, with great meals and especially delicious dinners. I’d highly recommend the hotel for a relaxing, enjoyable visit.
