Pickalbatros Aqua Vista Resort - Hurghada

The children’s entertainment was very nice, and having access to all three resorts was helpful, especially since it meant three different buffets. The pools looked nice, but they weren’t heated, which would have been welcome during our February stay. The experience was pleasant, but I personally wouldn’t return. Food became repetitive, so we got bored and ate out for dinner most of the time. There are some really good restaurants nearby. At breakfast, you could get an omelette made to order, fresh breads, vegetables, fruit, cold cuts, cheese, pancakes, and cereal. We usually had soup for dinner, along with roast turkey, chicken, beef, or lamb, and seafood such as shrimp or paella. We skipped lunch because we didn’t like the options apart from chicken nuggets, soup, and chicken. We’re not picky eaters. I also didn’t see a reason to tip the waiters when we got our own drinks, coffee, and food. We had all inclusive, but based on the condition of the walls, bathroom tiles, and toilets, I’d personally rate the rooms at three stars.

The way FAWZY♥️ MOHAMED ♥️ looked after me really stood out. He was professional, helpful, and genuinely caring, always checking that I had what I needed and doing it with a smile. The staff’s kindness and attention to detail made my stay memorable. I felt welcomed as soon as I arrived. The rooms were fresh, comfortable, and well maintained, and the whole hotel kept an impressively high standard. I had a wonderful experience and would highly recommend it to anyone wanting comfort, quality, and first-class service. I’ll definitely return!

The gardens and open areas were well maintained, though crowded at busy times. Cleanliness and a few staff members were highlights, but the location wasn’t ideal and the cost felt hard to justify. Before arrival, we received too little information about activities and services, which made planning difficult. Dining was disappointing overall. Breakfast and lunch were limited and repetitive, and dishes were slow to be replenished. Dinner had a nice atmosphere but lacked variety and flavor; desserts were good. The bar was lively, though cocktails and service speed varied. Evening entertainment was almost nonexistent, which was a letdown for a hotel of this level. Service varied widely too. Some staff were welcoming and professional, while others seemed disengaged, and language barriers made communication difficult. Reception handled check-in efficiently but was inconsistent in how much they knew and how responsive they were. Wi-Fi frequently dropped out and was slow, making work and streaming nearly impossible. For the price, improvements to food variety, entertainment, Wi-Fi, and consistency of service are needed for the experience to meet expectations.

The best part of our holiday was the people. Staff across all four resorts were friendly and helpful, and the housekeepers kept our room spotless every day. They were always up for a quick chat and gave us useful tips for finding our way around. The poolside White Bar team were just as attentive and happy to help with requests beyond serving drinks. The housekeeping and bar staff are a real credit to Pickalbatros. There was plenty to do because we could visit Aqua Vista, Aqua Blue, Aquapark, and the Beach Resort. Each area had its own character, and everywhere was spotlessly clean. The rooms were spacious, modern, and well maintained. All-inclusive food and drinks were great, with lots of choice for breakfast, lunch, and dinner from 6am to 12am, plus snacks during the day. It made for an excellent holiday.
