The snorkeling at the far end of the resort was one of the best experiences I’ve ever had. We also tried all the restaurants and found them fine, and there was always something to eat. Our room was cleaned well every day, and reception called daily to see how we were getting on. Fruit was delivered to the room if you’re in daily. There are lots of minor repairs needed, but I can see how hard it must be to keep on top of everything. It didn’t affect my stay. The team were so attentive, and everyone in our group would come back. I was nervous after reading bad reviews, but had a great holiday and thought it was good value. It was my first time in Egypt, and the culture is very different, but once you get your head around it, it’s easy to cope with. I’d definitely recommend Sunny Days.

Atef cleaned our room every day and added a thoughtful personal touch, and Mr. Hamdy, the head of housekeeping, also deserves a big thank you. The gentleman at the breakfast bar was exceptionally friendly and kind. Everyone was welcoming and attentive, always smiling from the time we arrived until we left. Thanks to the whole team across reception, the restaurant, and housekeeping. We had a wonderful stay.

We were a group of eight and stayed three nights, but none of us enjoyed the experience. It was advertised as all-inclusive, yet wine cost €3 a glass, drinks came in plastic cups, the coffee was poor, and bottled water was only available from the room cleaner. For the price and what we expected, it was a big disappointment, and we wouldn’t recommend the hotel. The warm pool kept the kids entertained for two nights, and we could see a shipwreck about 60 meters from shore. But in January the sea was too cold to swim out that far.

The location is very good, and the beach and pool areas were clean and pleasant. The employees were nice too, apart from reception. Food was good, though not amazing. What I couldn’t accept was being pressed for extra payments by reception twice. When we checked in late at night, the receptionist demanded a balance of 90 euros even though we had booked through a travel agency. We refused, and he said he’d check, but we never heard back. At checkout, the “manager” demanded payment for the Christmas dinner, which was mediocre, even though it was included in our package activities. He threatened that we had to pay 200 dollars. I called our travel guide urgently, and they dealt with the hotel directly by phone. After that, we were able to leave without a problem. The bedroom wasn’t up to a four-star standard. Mosquitoes came in every night through a gap by the window door, the bathroom needed renovating, and the bathtub was too small.
