Jolie Ville resort & Spa Kings Island, Luxor

The setting is remarkable, and the gardens are full of grass and flowers, a welcome change after six days surrounded by sand. It was lovely to walk through the well-kept grounds and see local plants and wildlife. The transfer crossed a small bridge onto an island in the Nile, and we were amazed that we could say we'd slept on the river without paying for an expensive cruise. We'd come from Hurghada to Luxor on a day trip with MTB travel guides, who arranged an overnight stay at Jolie Ville. The online pictures they'd shared really didn't show how breathtaking the hotel is. The food, views, and location were all incredible. The buffet selection was a reasonable size compared with our other hotel, and the flavours and quality seemed above the five-star places we'd eaten at in Egypt so far. Our Dulux room was spacious, airy, clean, and luxurious inside, with remarkable views. Instead of going back to Hurghada for one night before heading to Ciaro, we asked the hotel to keep us another night in a river-view room. There was a little path alongside the hotel where we could watch sunset over the Nile. The balconies looked so spacious that we couldn't resist a cold drink there in peace at sunset, with more homemade fresh food. The outdoor heated pool is useful in low season, and the carts for getting around the grounds were much appreciated. The inside pub felt modern, almost like a pub back home, and had a good range of spirits compared with the usual local selection. The complimentary crisps and nuts were tasty too. This is an experience in itself, not just a hotel, and we'd highly recommend it. Thanks to Mohamed Emad, Ahmed A Wab, and Mostafa Mohsen for their hospitality.

The hotel sits right on the banks of the Nile, and the grounds are beautifully kept with gardens. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and reasonably priced. Staff are kind and helpful, especially the kitchen managers, who were always ready to arrange food at short notice and a Felucca ride. The one snag was the buffet price for children. It was nearly the adult rate, and there wasn't a half-board or all-inclusive option.

We had a wonderful time and would absolutely come back. Wi-Fi worked perfectly throughout the hotel, which was a real plus. The laundry service was excellent, quick, and convenient, and we enjoyed several spa treatments, including manicures, pedicures, and relaxing massages. Abdu at the spa was genuinely friendly and great at his work. The pool staff were lovely and helped create a great atmosphere. From arrival, the staff were kind, caring, and always smiling, going out of their way to make sure things were right. Our rooms were spotless thanks to the housekeeping team, and the pool areas were beautiful and relaxing. A fantastic stay at Jolie Ville in Luxor.

We came to Jolie Ville in Luxor for a week as a couple on our honeymoon, and the calm, romantic atmosphere was just right for us. The surroundings are lovely, the hotel is beautiful, and the staff were smiling, polite, and so welcoming from the moment we arrived. We especially enjoyed the spa and massage treatments. They were relaxing and professional, and became a highlight of the trip. The food was very good too, with a nice mix of savoury dishes and desserts. We had an unforgettable stay and would gladly return. Highly recommend!
