Malkata House

Access isn’t the easiest, but we enjoyed Malkata House and wouldn’t hesitate to stay again on our next trip to Luxor. The small hotel near Medinet Habu is a pleasure to look at, and the little pool is brilliant. The restaurant feels more like a refectory and could be developed further, especially given the price, the 5* rooms, and the spectacular view over the Westbank mountains. On our last evening, there was a menu with simple but decent dishes. Fresh 'baladi' style bread for breakfast would have been nice.

Malkata House has a rooftop where you can unwind and take in the peaceful views. We spent 3 days in the superior suite, enjoying the breathtaking balcony views. The setting is a gem in Luxor, right beside the desert hills and main temples. Everyone on the team was amazing and took care of us whenever we needed anything, including service or lunch/dinner. The restaurant is well worth recommending for all day dining. What a great experience, thank you Malkata team!

We stayed 3 days and 2 nights at Malkata, and it was a marvelous visit. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the food, pool, and sunset all made the experience unforgettable. Our flight wasn’t until 8 PM on the last day, so they kindly let us use the pool and gave us a room to freshen up before we headed to the airport. It really was wonderful.

The restaurant was excellent, with spectacular food from Chef Hasan and the waiters. Each day, the pack breakfast we requested was really good and complete. We stayed 3 nights at this cozy hotel in the Valley of Kings, a great base for exploring the area and relaxing at the end of the day. At 5am one morning, the hot water wasn’t working. We told reception, not expecting much because of the time, but they got it sorted in 10 minutes. Amazing service. Thanks to the whole staff for their kindness and hospitality. We’ll recommend your lovely hotel to anyone visiting Luxor.
