Nile Youth Hostel

My sister and I really enjoyed our stay. The rooms were spacious and clean, and very fairly priced. Breakfast on the rooftop was amazing. Mamdooh was happy to arrange a tour at a fair price or take us to a local restaurant himself. Many thanks to him and his team, and all the best.

Mr Mamdow was an incredible host, generous and endlessly kind. He arranged historical trips and a hot air balloon for me at the best rates, cooked really nice food, and gave me a clean place to stay. I won’t forget his cheerful nature and ever-smiling face. Thanks for making my stay memorable, brother.

This new hostel is a good choice for backpackers and budget travelers in Luxor. It’s on the WEST bank, right in front of the soccer field, and this side feels less chaotic than the east bank. The ferry runs all the time and costs only 5£ Egyptian. The owner is taking good care to build a strong reputation with travelers. He plans to put a restaurant on the roof in the future, so hopefully breakfast options will improve. Recommended!

The sports field right next door can get a bit noisy, so I’ve taken off one star. Otherwise, it’s a really clean and spacious hostel in a laid-back part of Luxor. The staff are helpful and friendly, and the beds are comfortable. The shower was amazing, with strong pressure and both hot and cold water working perfectly. Towels, toilet paper, and breakfast are included. I’d happily stay again.
