Coral Sun Beach

We spent three nights here at the end of August, and it felt like home from the start. The staff were polite and professional and did their best to make our stay enjoyable. Mr. Mohamed at reception looked after the guests with a smile, and Chef Ahmed and the restaurant team were cheerful. The food was delicious, with enough choices for different tastes, and hot and cold drinks were served with all three meals. I've stayed at more expensive, higher-rated resorts nearby and liked their food less. The beach is long, with several lovely snorkeling spots as well as sandy areas. The pool is small but pleasant and clean. There is only one towel center, halfway between the pool and beach. I would happily recommend this resort and hope to come back.

The beach and pool both feel cramped, so it was hard to find space to relax. Most of the staff weren't welcoming, though one person did try to help. Food was poor, with little variety and not much freshness. Fresh juice also wasn't part of the all-inclusive package, which was disappointing for the price. I left unhappy and wouldn't recommend this hotel.

The food was a letdown: despite being sold as all-inclusive, guests can't serve themselves freely, portions are restricted, and what was offered was bland, repetitive, and served in small amounts. It didn't feel hospitable or comfortable, especially at this price. I wouldn't recommend the place. The rooms were small and dated, with a persistent damp, moldy smell. Furniture looked worn, and everything seemed poorly maintained. Staff were unfriendly and disrespectful, making us feel like a burden.

We had a great two-week stay, though it ended on a bitter note. We had fun with the animation team, then heard one member had to leave because of a particular colleague. We later saw that person speak disrespectfully to other team members and tell them to leave while they were enjoying time with guests. On our departure day, two more members decided to leave, with that same person a major factor. All three were great people. There may be more to the story, and it isn't mine to tell, but I felt it was important to mention that this behavior shouldn't be tolerated. This isn't a criticism of the hotel itself, and we really enjoyed the vacation overall. The beach was beautiful for snorkeling. Wildlife is protected, so there are only two places to enter the water, but you can explore freely once in. The evening shows were pleasant, and the atmosphere was fun. We also loved aqua gym at noon, though it became irregular in our second week, which disappointed us. German speakers will feel at home, since many people can speak the language. Food was excellent, with plenty of variety as well as simple choices. Staff were friendly and welcoming, and we quickly felt comfortable. The trip we took with chill tours was probably the most fun day of my life. Snorkeling in Egypt is amazing, and I'd recommend the seven pillars snorkel tour.
