Shams Lodge for Watersports

I came here to get away from the crowds and was very satisfied with the peaceful stay. It’s a small, quiet hotel within a larger complex, with a beautiful long beach and a coral area suitable for less demanding visitors. In the morning you may see a turtle or a manta ray. There’s one dining room, with a buffet or dishes from the menu, plus a special grill menu and pizza from a dedicated oven. I did find the fruit selection small, and there was no red watermelon during my stay. I have to amend my review: about two hours after I posted it, someone knocked and a waiter brought red watermelon to my room. The Operations Manager, Mr. Ayman, seems to notice everything and puts his heart into the job. The other employees are also dedicated and accommodating. I can say that from experience, as I got sick while there. Thank you all.

The staff made this a place I’d definitely visit again. Everyone was friendly and professional, and they did their best to keep guests happy. Ayman the manager, Khaled the chief cook, Yousef the barista, Safwat the head waiter, and Zakareya, Mohamed and Ahmed from the beach and pool all stood out. Yousef used to make the best double macchiato. Shams is a group of five hotels, and staying at Shams Lodge, with its 60 bungalows, comes with a private beach and pool. The bungalow-style hotel is beautiful and quiet, and the bungalows are lovely, comfortable, and very clean. There’s also a great indoor and outdoor restaurant with a sea view.

I came all the way from Canada on a whim to visit Hurghada, and the long trip was absolutely worth it. My room at Shams Lodge was clean and very comfortable. The check-in staff were especially accommodating, and Mr. Ayman, Mr. Abdou Hasan, and chef Khaled provided exceptional service. The maintenance and cleaning staff were delightful and eager to help. Everyone went above and beyond to make the stay enjoyable. I highly recommend the hotel and can’t wait to return.

A good place for tourism, diving, surfing, or just relaxing on the beach under the warm sun. The resort staff provide guest service, and you can walk easily to the beach and watch the sunshine.
