Hotel Rural Los Anades

The restaurant menus could be better balanced for quality and quantity. Sometimes less really is better. I also found the place a little overpriced. Still, the spa circuit was a highlight, with an hour to yourself and features including a sauna and jacuzzi. The games room was fun too, with free pool and darts, and you can order drinks there. We slept brilliantly in the beds. A good choice for a weekend of relaxing or a couple's getaway, about 1.30h from Madrid. I recommend it.

We had a perfect weekend. The private spa was lovely, and the hotel is well maintained and nicely decorated. The bedrooms are beautiful, with attention to detail, and the surroundings are lovely. Staff were warm and helpful. Don't miss the restaurant, especially the excellent roast meat. A great hotel for a relaxing weekend.

We stayed in a loft so we could bring our dog. It had a kitchenette with everything we needed and a very comfortable bed. Sitting on the porch listening to the birds was lovely. The town is nice for a stroll or a walk out through the fields, and Sigüenza is nearby if you want more to do. Los Ánades is an easy drive from Madrid, a pretty, peaceful hotel surrounded by nature. The restaurant meals were delicious, but the spa was our favorite, one of the nicest we've visited for its privacy, cleanliness, and design. Maite was very helpful whenever we needed anything, and the hotel had taken every precaution against COVID. Highly recommend Los Ánades for a weekend of switching off!

The manager, Jose María, was kind when we raised our concerns and apologized for the behavior. He also offered a late checkout. But the spa was another problem: all seven of us went, and Rossie and Conchi stopped us at the entrance, saying the extra person had to pay. My elderly parents only sat by the entrance to watch the children in the Jacuzzi and had no intention of using anything. When I said they would leave, Rossie told me, “Quick! I am controlling from here.” It felt like a very cheap attitude. The Wi-Fi was poor, the Jacuzzi was cold, and there were a few other minor issues. Rossie and Conchi ruined our vacation. It's not a cheap place, so I'd recommend spending your money elsewhere, for example at the Paradores chain of rural hotels, which has a similar style. The place itself is nice and cozy, with top-notch facilities, but we had a horrible experience. My extended family, five adults and two children, wanted to spend a couple of days in rural Spain. When I booked, I asked the manager, Mr. Jose María, if we could have one loft for four people and a room for two. He said he was fine with us sleeping comfortably and there'd be no extra charge. Our two-night package included breakfast each day, another meal, and the spa. I gladly paid for the seventh person's breakfast, even though no one had told me the extra child would have to pay more for the included meals. Then, while we were having dinner, the waitress Rossie, whose name I'm not sure I've spelled correctly and who seemed to have several other roles at the hotel, started demanding an additional sleeping charge for the child. She spoke loudly in front of other customers and held up our dinner until it was sorted out. I had to remind the manager of what he'd told me when I booked. He remembered and confirmed that we'd agreed not to pay extra, and then they started serving dinner.
