The worst part was the manager blaming us when we complained, saying it was our fault that all the diners arrived at once. What nerve, putting the blame on customers for his inability to run the place. The tasting menu cost 40 euros, and the service was awful. The food was even worse, cold and burnt. After waiting 2.5 hours, we had to leave without finishing our meal. It was freezing inside, and we ate with our coats on. Absolutely terrible.

Breakfast was pretty meager, just toast and coffee, and the bar service seemed more attentive to locals than to tourists. The staff are friendly, maybe a bit overfriendly for some. There is a reception, but you have to look for the receptionist or owner. The rooms are clean, comfortable enough, and have what you need, including a hairdryer. The TV is there too, though you'll need to retune it. It’s a quiet spot to relax.

I only stopped in for a drink, but the waitress came across as rude and inattentive, spending the whole time on her phone. The bathroom was pretty dirty too. It was Monday lunchtime and the bar was almost empty.

The service was the best part of the place. We went for the truffle festival meal and came away very disappointed: the food was really bad, with hardly any flavor or truffle, especially for a set menu served to the whole dining room. I didn’t stay at the hotel, so I can’t comment on it. A restaurant I’d avoid.

For a charming stay, look elsewhere. This place is cheap and clean, but very basic and just okay. Calatañazor is 10 km away and would be a better choice for dinner and a night's sleep, though you'll need to book well ahead.
