Royal Sun Resort

We had a blast at Gigi’s aqua gym sessions. He’s professional, friendly, and charming, and the service from the pool team and reception was friendly too. They took care of all our requests. The food was delicious, and the pool was great. Just be careful how much you eat! The sea view is lovely, right under los Gigantes. Best hotel ever, and an unforgettable experience.

The location and local area made a great base for exploring the island by hire car. The pool area was lovely and well maintained, and the apartment suited the four of us, two couples. It had excellent air conditioning and an impressively spacious bathroom. The kitchen was the one letdown. It felt dated, with some very old appliances. The kettle leaked, and a few items were broken or awkward to use, though we managed around them. We got into a nice routine of having breakfast at the hotel, lunch out while exploring, then cooking in the apartment in the evening. The breakfast buffet was incredible, and the room service menu we tried one night was good value and delicious. We’d recommend adding breakfast to your stay. The staff were welcoming, friendly, and helpful throughout, which made a real difference. We had a fantastic stay at the Royal Sun Resort and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Tenerife.

We felt very well looked after on our second visit to Royal Sun Resorts in Los Gigantes, Tenerife. We were here two years ago, and are happy to say things are still just as excellent. The hotel was clean, comfortable in every detail, and well maintained. The food was delicious, varied, and prepared to a very high standard. Service was fantastic again, with everyone friendly, helpful, and welcoming. We were very satisfied with our stay. Royal Sun Resorts continues to deliver great quality, and we can highly recommend it to anyone looking for a perfect place to relax on Tenerife.

We’re back for another four weeks, after spending four weeks here between January and February earlier this year. We can hardly believe we’ve spent one sixth of a year at Royal Sun Resorts, and we’re enjoying it just as much as before. Our requested room was available when we checked in, even though the hotel was very busy, so we felt lucky. It was next door to our previous room, on the same floor as the Aqua Restaurant, one floor below the pool and one above the Regency Restaurant, where breakfast was included. The terrace is the highlight: large, with sunbeds and a table, and stunning views over Los Gigantes towards La Gomera. It gets sun from mid-morning until sunset. The apartment itself is spacious, spotless, and well equipped, with a cooker, fridge/freezer, microwave, toaster, kettle, and all the utensils we needed. There’s just one power outlet in the kitchen, so only one appliance can be used at a time. We moved the toaster over by the TV to let us toast bread while using the kettle or microwave. The bathroom is very large with plenty of storage. In the bedroom, the twin beds are pushed together as a double, with a built-in wardrobe and drawers, plus more storage by the entrance. The TV has excellent picture quality and plenty of UK channels, including BBC, ITV, and Channel 4. Wi-Fi was superb, fast enough to stream BBC iPlayer in HD without buffering. The gym has a wide range of equipment, though some machines could do with updating. There’s an on-site shop for essentials and a laundry area with washers and dryers. The breakfast buffet has a great range of hot and cold dishes. The thickly cut white bread with the crust and the Apple Crumble tart were highlights, and we enjoyed a few glasses of Bucks Fizz. The breakfast team were cheerful, welcoming, and worked well together, greeting guests, clearing tables, and helping with requests like high chairs. It was lovely to see them looking after small children, offering high fives and carrying juices to their tables. Housekeeping was efficient and friendly, and so were the reception staff. Nayara checked us in and was extremely friendly, making us feel very welcome. The whole hotel is spotless, with staff constantly cleaning the public areas. We’ve felt at home since day one and are having a wonderful, relaxing stay. Our schedule for 2026 is busy, so we’re looking at returning in January 2027. It seems a long way off, but it’ll come round soon. We highly recommend the Royal Sun Resort for a peaceful, comfortable, well-run stay. Thanks to all the staff for their kindness, smiles, and great service. We also appreciated the Halloween decorations the hotel team put up, lovely to see.
