The adults-only infinity pool was a highlight: heated, really good, and no scramble for sunbeds. This was our second stay, and we'll definitely return. We had a lovely week at the Troya. The room was large, clean, and nice, with a comfy bed, though the balcony was very narrow. We were half board and could choose lunch or dinner, which was great. Lunch was good, dinner not quite as good. Staff were all pleasant and helpful, and the hotel is centrally located near bars, restaurants, and the beach.

Our panoramic room on the 8th floor had amazing sunset views from the balcony, and the jacuzzi in the room was lovely. We hardly went far from the hotel, and the pool area was excellent, with lots of daily activities if you wanted to join in. The staff were amazing, and when a sliding door gave us a small problem, it was fixed straight away. We'd booked half board without expecting buffet food to be that good, but we enjoyed what was served each evening. It wasn't restaurant quality, but there were lots of choices every day and we had no complaints or disappointments. There are good supermarkets around too, with the best one a little uphill on the right of the hotel. We had an amazing stay at the Toya and will return.

The drinks setup at lunch and dinner was the one thing that stopped me giving five stars. We were half board, so drinks weren't included, but I expected plain still water with the main meal to be covered. It wasn't. Each time, a waiter had to come over, read our cards, take the drink order, and bring it. Sometimes we were almost done eating before some of the drinks arrived. A soft drink costs 2.50€, and I think that's a bit much for a 500ml bottle of still water. Apart from that, everything was good. Of the several hotels we've stayed at in Tenerife, this is the best so far. Great location, clean rooms and public spaces, friendly staff, delicious food, and lots of choices.

I love this hotel and go every year. It's clean, friendly, and feels like home. The staff are amazing and always happy to help. Olivia, who works in the bar, is cracking and welcomes me back every year. The food is lovely, always hot and tasty, with a good choice. Housekeepers are pleasant and clean the rooms during the allocated time. The pool is a good size, and the newer infinity section is very nice. The entertainment can be hit and miss, with too many of their own Spanish singers for my taste, but when there's a good show, the evening is great. The hotel is close to the nightclub strip, though they tell you that when you book. I don't think spa access should cost extra, or that you should have to pay for a room if your flight pickup isn't until late afternoon or early evening. Other hotels let you shower in a room for free, and €65 is a lot. I think that should be free. Great hotel overall, and yes, I'd give it four stars.
