Joia El Mirador by Iberostar Hotel

We came to El Mirador hoping to relax, enjoy the sunshine and de-stress, and that’s exactly what happened. The hotel is in a perfect location, the weather was sunny every day, and the staff were so friendly and helpful. Breakfast had an incredible range of food, and we tried every restaurant during our stay. They were all excellent. We’d definitely like to return next year.

The breakfast buffet was sublime, and the location, food, drinks and facilities were all excellent. But what really sets this hotel apart is the customer service. The staff were incredibly friendly and always ready to help. The team setting up the loungers, the yoga and pilates instructor, the bar staff making great cocktails, reception and the breakfast crew were all wonderful. At breakfast, plates were cleared quickly and staff seemed to know just when you needed something. Genuinely world-class service. It was my first stay at an Iberostar, but I’ll check their other hotels first when we book our next holiday. Just back from a week here, and it was comfortably the best hotel I’ve stayed in. Faultless!

We’ve now met so many returning guests that we feel like part of the El Mirador family ourselves. This was our second stay in a Star Prestige room, and it was just as good as the first. Having stayed at all the nearby 5* hotels, I’d put El Mirador well ahead of the rest. The consistent quality of the staff is what really stands out, whichever room you choose. Their recruitment and training must be a real strength. Everyone seems happy, and that comes through in the service across every department. A special thank you to our butler team, Diana & Sophia, and to the restaurant and bar staff, David, Felitzia, Roberto & Jennifer, as well as everyone else who made our stay memorable. We’re already planning another visit later this year after our eighth stay at the Mirador. The buffet restaurant is very good, and I’ve never had a meal there I didn’t enjoy. The a la carte option is its saving grace. It’s a quiet, clean hotel, though perhaps it could use a refurbishment at some point in the future. The staff are what make it such a pleasurable place to stay. Big thanks to Diana, Sophia and Pablo from the butler service, and Tiziana from management. They’re wonderful at what they do, and I’m sure they truly enjoy making guests’ stays special. And thanks as well to Mr Clement, the manager, who makes it all happen.
