The views are nice, and there’s public parking nearby. But it’s a long way from the beach, and getting around without a car would be difficult. The metal bars on every window don’t exactly make the place feel safe.

It’s a cozy place with a pool and a bar, and the staff supervising the area are friendly. The bartender was especially helpful and friendly, and speaks great English. The bar food is decent, and the alcohol is cheap, though still a bit pricier than at the seafront restaurants. The walls are thin, so you can hear everyone outside. WiFi is free, but the signal can be pretty poor.

On our first night, someone broke into our room and stole all our money and possessions. Our passports and boarding passes had been laid out on the table, as if to reassure us that we still had them and could travel home. The staff were no help at all when we told them, and even tried to talk us out of contacting the police. There were no signs of a break-in, and I have no doubt it had something to do with hotel staff. Stay clear and avoid this place at all costs. Zero stars.

The apartments are roomy enough and the kitchenette was fine, but the bed was two singles pushed together. They kept sliding apart whenever you rolled over. There was thick dust all over the place, even on the ceiling, so the apartments need a very deep clean. I wouldn’t recommend letting the maids in. They came while we were out, left the doors unlocked, and threw away the foil pouch for my camera, which I still needed.

It’s quiet at night and nothing fancy, with a small pool. There are quite a lot of residents living in the apartments, so it has a communal feel. We didn’t pay much, so I guess we got what we paid for. The place itself is alright, though there weren’t many options for food, so you have to go into town to eat. It’s quite high up, but a taxi gets you to the city centre without much trouble. Just be aware that taxis get expensive if you ask the concierge to call one. I suppose they must get a share too. When we were there last time, work was underway on one of the buildings opposite, and we were woken early by the noise during the week.
