We had great views, but otherwise this place was bad. I got a really bad ear infection from the unclean pool. We couldn’t find anyone on site to arrange air conditioning, and nobody answered my call or email asking for help. They also never explained where the gates were. One night the nearest gate stopped working because of a power issue, and we thought we might not be able to get back in if we went out. Our code worked on only two of the three gates, though fortunately we found another one it opened. This is a fire risk. Do not stay here.

We were here with a group of divers and went diving with a centre near the apartment. The location is fantastic, right in Puerto colon harbour and within walking distance of everything. The apartment was comfortable and in a great spot. Highly recommended.

The location and views are great, and there are some okay restaurants nearby, though they’re overhyped. That’s the only good thing about this place. The management is diabolical: they provide no emergency number and don’t answer emails. When the car park gate at the top lost power, its keypad stopped working and there was no manual way out. In a fire, that’s a serious safety risk. The lock should open if the power fails, not stay locked. We tried our code at the pool gate, but it didn’t work there either. I eventually found another working gate at the side of the building, although we’d only been told about the one by the top car park. There’s no built-in air conditioning, so the rooms get boiling hot. You can pay a daily fee for a portable unit, but I’d put that money towards somewhere with air conditioning included. The bathrooms are cramped and hot, and hot water is limited. There’s also no lighting on the steps beside the building, on the right as you face it, between floors 2 and 1 where the pool is. This place has potential, but without investment it won’t improve. It isn’t a bargain if you care about safety and comfort. We’ll never stay here again.

The location is fantastic, just a minute’s walk from La Pinta Beach, where a sunbed costs 6 euros. Supermarkets and restaurants are nearby, and we found them reasonably priced. We’re a family of five, and our lunch of chicken burgers and chips came to 7 euros each. A taxi to the airport costs €30 to €35. The grounds felt secure, with electric gates at each entrance and security staff checking the car park around the clock. The pool is small but private, with a baby pool and hot tub beside it. Our two-bedroom apartment, D201, was huge and could easily sleep six comfortably. It had two big harbour-facing balconies with lovely boat views, plus a nice sofa, TV, comfortable double bed, two singles and a sofa bed. The kitchen was the weak point. There wasn’t even an oven, so we couldn’t make pizza for lunch or have a cheap night in before a pricier restaurant meal. When I asked on WhatsApp, staff said the ovens had been deliberately removed because guests left them on. It seemed a strange explanation. These ex-timeshare apartments are showing their age and need modernising, though they cost less than most places in this excellent location. I expect prices to jump once they’re updated.
