The cleanliness was excellent. The cleaners were very good and came every other day, and the pool and surrounding area were immaculate. The poolside bar food and drinks were perfect too. The rest of this stay was disappointing. I paid for a premium sea-view room but got one on floor 3, which felt more like a pool view than a full sea view. On my previous stay, paying for the premium had got me a room on the top floor, floor 8, and I was very happy with that. I’d suggest putting sea-view bookings on floor 7 or 8 at least. In my experience, floor 3 isn’t acceptable for that price. The bedroom backed onto the car park and main road behind the hotel, so it wasn’t peaceful and I couldn’t sleep there. I ended up on the sofa in the living area, which wasn’t ideal. There was also work going on at the hotel, starting before 9am and continuing quite late. I understand improvements need to be made, but guests should be warned before booking or offered a discount. I was very disappointed and will probably not stay here again.

The cockroaches ruined the holiday for us. We went out for dinner our first night, then came back to find the rooms infested. They were everywhere each night, and one night was the last straw: we found them coming out of the sink, in all our beds, in the bathroom, and on top of our suitcases. When we complained, they only gave us cockroach spray, which was useless. The bathroom smelled of sewage the whole week, the bath was broken, and there was black mould on the ceiling. You also have to pay €10 for the TV remote, and there was a 10pm curfew for being on the balconies. We’d paid €150 as a damage deposit, which is understandable, but we were told we couldn’t have balls or pool toys in the pool or we’d lose the deposit, even though the pool was on the property. Four friends and I chose this place for our first girls’ holiday and stayed a week. We’d read both good and bad reviews, but hoped it might live up to the positive ones. It’s in a good spot for nightlife, but the hotel wasn’t worth what we paid. It ruined our holiday and we’ll never come back or recommend it.

The room was clean and nice, and the bed was comfortable. Still, on arrival I was unpleasantly surprised to learn there was a 150€ security deposit and that cash wasn’t accepted. Booking.com hadn’t mentioned it. The pool hours were silly, and there was no gym at all.

The pool was clean and heated, and the location worked really well for us, close to Siam and the beach. There’s also a good supermarket next door with nice coffee. We’ve stayed here once before and came back for a short visit. This time we had a top-floor room with an incredible view, snowy mountains on one side and the sea on the other. The renovated room was lovely and very clean, with a nice shower. The reception lady was especially friendly, probably the friendliest we’ve met in a Spanish hotel. And there was a chubby ginger cat downstairs, so cute and friendly. The internet didn’t work on the top floor. The new smart TV had YouTube, but its WiFi setting had been removed, so we couldn’t connect it and were left with local channels. A small thing they could fix. We’ll book again.
