Rural Las Longueras

We had a lovely time at Hotel Las Longueras. The staff were among the friendliest and kindest we’ve ever met. Thank you for being such good hosts!

The staff were fantastic and looked after every need. The owner was a wonderful hostess, attentive in a personal way. Breakfast was amazing, with freshly made dishes, freshly squeezed orange juice, and maybe the most beautiful view I’ve ever had with breakfast. The country house sits in an extraordinary spot, with breathtaking mountain and landscape views. It’s a great place to unwind or set off hiking from. Without a car it could feel a little isolated, but the natural beauty is worth it. The rooms are beautifully decorated in a classical style that suits the mansion. This is the real thing, so don’t expect the minimalist modern furniture of chain hotels. Bring earplugs, though: local wildlife can get noisy at night, especially the resident cockerel. It’s a farm, after all, and I didn’t see that as a negative.

The staff were excellent and welcoming, and we really liked the hotel. It’s out in the countryside, about a 30-minute walk from Agaete. Breakfast was excellent too, made even nicer by sitting on the terrace overlooking orchards and mountains. Our inclusive dinner on the first night was the one letdown, the quality was really poor.

The breakfast view is amazing, and there’s a large pool in a lovely spot. This is a very nice historic hotel in the valley. They offer dinner catering, which was okay. The hotel could generally do with some maintenance.
