The hotel sits around a hill, so there are lovely views across the countryside. The place was clean and peaceful, and breakfast turned out much better than I expected. My Spanish is only about 200-300 words, but the staff were very accommodating. The beach is close enough for a short walk or bike ride, and the hotel lends bikes, though the hilly road has little room for pedestrians. I’d strongly recommend having a car. Getting a taxi takes a lot of advance planning since this isn’t near a major city centre. There’s also one of the oldest olive trees in the Mediterranean area in the valley behind the hotel, worth a look because it’s nearby. If you’re after a nice countryside hotel, I’d definitely recommend this one.

We had breakfast by the pool, and the food was good quality. After a hectic Easter week sightseeing in Cordoba and Malaga, this beautiful hotel in such a peaceful setting was the perfect way to finish our holiday. We’d come back for a summer resort break in Almería.

The pool and hot tub look out over the sea and lovely surroundings, and the beach is only a five-minute drive away. In the small resort of Agua Armarga, there are good bars, restaurants, and shops if you need them. We had a really relaxing break here. The room was spacious, clean, and very good, and the food was top quality. The attentive staff did all they could to make our stay enjoyable.

Two days here took more stress off us than a week away usually would. It was our first holiday in nearly three years because of work and animal commitments, and we’ll definitely be back. We picked the place for a last-minute honeymoon on a friend’s recommendation. They only had two nights free, so we stayed elsewhere for the first two, but they let us check in early. Our suite was spotless and so comfortable, with a huge bed, crisp linen, robes, slippers, a lounge area, a terrace, and even a two-person jacuzzi bath. A complimentary bottle of fizz on ice for our wedding was a lovely touch. We liked dinner so much the first night that we booked again for the second. The chips and tuna tartar were the best we’ve ever had. Breakfast was just as good, with quality ingredients rather than a huge spread, and everything beautifully presented. I hardly ever eat breakfast, but we grazed for nearly two hours that first morning. They can make eggs if you want, though we didn’t need any.

Vanesa made the stay for us. She was helpful even before we booked, with good advice on rooms, dinner, and places to visit nearby. With so many online reservations, it was nice to get that kind of traditional, personal help. We had two marvellous nights here. It was completely quiet and relaxing, with an outdoor jacuzzi facing nature, a large pool, and a great breakfast outside. We’ll definitely come back. Thanks, Vanesa!
