Villa Delfines

Villa Delfines Apartment B needs maintenance. The terrace has good views, but the old loungers and chairs were broken. The stone path to the apartment was awkward with suitcases, and at night there was no light at the entrance, so we had to use our phone flashlights. Common area A seemed better suited for parking because access was easier. Inside, the smell of damp was unbearable, so we bought a dehumidifier and air fresheners. The first floor has the kitchen, table, and sofa; its window faces the entrance corridor, where there was a urine smell that came into the apartment. I bought vinegar and sprayed it on some plants. The fridge and microwave were very old. Upstairs were the bedroom, terrace, and bathroom, where my partner and I stayed. The bed had two old mattresses, and without a shower curtain, water flooded the whole bathroom. We won’t be back.

The villa, house B, was in a very quiet location, and the views from it were excellent. But when I arrived, it smelled strongly of damp and felt stuffy. I had to buy dehumidifier balls and air freshener. The old refrigerator and microwave also need attention, and the bed sagged in the middle. It’s a shame, because the house has a lot of potential if it’s maintained properly.

What a disappointing stay. The outdoor areas were dirty and broken, and the loungers and chairs on the private terrace were old, dirty, and marked with age stains. The Wi-Fi didn’t work, and there was no phone service. I tried to contact the owner when I arrived and never heard back. Inside, the house smelled bad. The car couldn’t reach it, so we had a long walk with our luggage. The road to the parking lot was being worked on, and the detour we had to take was even worse. Banana trees surrounded the house; neighbors said mice were seen there. I didn’t see any, since I didn’t stay. I found somewhere else for those days instead. There was no way to walk around the area. I booked August 6th to 9th, 2020, and paid €90 a night. This was by far the worst stay of my life. I wouldn’t stay there for free.

We had two incredible nights, with amazing views, a really comfortable bed, and a very clean place. A local cat kept us company.
