We had no complaints and would happily return. Casa Rural Azkue is a peaceful base for visiting San Sebastián and the surrounding area, away from the crowds. The village, with bars and other services, is just a five-minute walk away, which helps since meals aren't served at the house. Other guests were barely noticeable. The owner was welcoming and helpful from our first contact, and offered us the fully equipped kitchen for free, even though it normally costs extra, since we were there for just one night. We don't know the usual fee. Our room was spacious, very clean and quiet, with a super comfortable bed and pillow. The shower had excellent pressure. We spent two nights here, and for €9 the breakfast was exceptional, with locally sourced food. The price felt very reasonable for what you get. We brought our dog, who was treated like family, which we really appreciated. There are tables outside where you can eat lunch or dinner and take in spectacular sea and meadow views.

We spent a week here and it was a pleasure. The house is lovely, everything was spotless, and the staff were so friendly. Breakfast was really good. My room had soft sheets and a mattress and pillow that felt just right, which matters a lot to me. They take good care of both their guests and the place.

Josemari was especially attentive, welcoming, and friendly both before our arrival and throughout the stay. We were there last July with our children, aged 3, 5, and 8, and everything worked out perfectly, from cleanliness and facilities to food, breakfast, location, and service. This is a charming farmhouse with lovely mountain and sea views, a great fit for families or couples who enjoy nature and want a break from the city. We’ll definitely return.

Josemari's warm welcome and attention meant a lot to us, and we especially enjoyed having breakfast on the terrace each morning. The rooms and shared spaces were very clean, the beds comfortable, and the bathroom was perfect. We spent a few days at Casa Azkue recently and were very happy with the stay. At first, the 15-minute drive from the house to the coast took some getting used to, but soon it felt easy. Azkue is highly recommended.
