Valentin Son Bou

The entertainment team were fantastic, especially Matteo and Marina. We did aqua aerobics in the pool each day and joined in with other pool activities, and the evening acts were fabulous too. All-inclusive food and drinks were great, with branded options, and the pool bar was included and good. Staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms are a little dated, but everywhere was very clean. There were no fights over sunbeds, though some people saved them early with towels. We had a lovely week, despite the weather.

We hired a car and explored Menorca, which is absolutely beautiful, and we can’t wait to return. It was our first visit to the island, and Valentin Son Bou made it unforgettable. The hotel was spotless, the pool lovely, and the food excellent with plenty of choice. Matteo, Robert, Marina, and Laura deserve a special thanks for making our stay extra special. Highly recommend!

We made good use of the parking around the hotel and the shuttle to Son Bou beach. There was plenty of parking for our rental car, and the shuttle was always on time, saving us the hassle of parking by the beach. The room was clean and spacious, though a bit dated and in need of some modern touches. That didn’t affect our comfort too much. Staff throughout the hotel, from reception to the restaurant team, were friendly and helpful, and made us feel looked after during our 7-night stay. Meals had plenty of variety, with something different to try each day. Breakfast included generous hot and cold options, while dinner mixed international and local dishes. We especially liked the themed nights. There were activities both day and evening, including poolside games, live music, and shows, so it felt lively without becoming overwhelming. My partner and I had a very pleasant week at Valentin Son Bou. It’s a good fit for couples wanting to unwind, eat well, and enjoy a lively hotel with easy access to Son Bou beach.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the buffet was consistently impeccable. The outdoor pool was lovely, though the pool bar was a little pricey, as expected. We didn’t like the indoor pool, which had a strange smell and seemed poorly maintained. The pleasant smell at the entrance helped make up for that. The hotel is old, and you can see that in the rooms and bathrooms.
