Apartamentos La Banda

Cockroaches were there as soon as we stepped inside, and the bathrooms were dirty. The towels smelled, the apartment felt old, and the microwave and stove were too unclean and run-down to use. Air conditioning also costs €5 a day. The arrival and payment were a mess. The owner couldn't find our reservation at first, kept our IDs, and said she would only give them back after we paid. We paid €90 cash for two nights just to avoid declaring it. Getting an invoice meant chasing her for the whole day. We were invited by a sports company that had booked through Booking.com. I wouldn't recommend staying here, especially at such a high price for so little.

We had cockroaches as soon as we arrived, and it was clear the place hadn't been cleaned. There was hair in the toilet, the microwave, refrigerator and tiles were dirty, utensils had been left around, and both the towels and sheets smelled bad. There weren't any blankets either. The service was awful. They kept my ID until I paid, which is illegal, and even though we'd booked through Booking.com they wanted cash. It took ages to get a receipt. Since the owner lived upstairs and watched people coming and going, we had almost no privacy. I wouldn't recommend it. For what it offers, this apartment is very expensive.

It was peaceful and quiet, which could have made it a nice place to relax, but the owner's parrot was let out on the balcony at 8 in the morning and kept whistling. Sleeping in wasn't possible. The apartment itself is spacious but neglected and unclean. The sheets and towels smelled bad, and neither the kitchen outlet nor the kettle worked.

While I was out exploring the island, the owners let themselves in and went through my belongings. Things were taken, apparently chosen so carefully that it wouldn't be obvious anything was gone, including items I'd already used or worn the previous day. I noticed what was missing. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone, and something should be done about people like this.
