Camping El Tormes

There’s a big grassy area by the river right next to the campsite, and the village is close enough for a nice walk. We found the toilets and showers spotless and well looked after. The new couple running the place greeted us warmly and let us pick our own pitch. There’s plenty of space and shade, too. We’ll definitely come back.

On the coldest night of our stopover before the ferry, we got the warmest welcome. The facilities are older, but immaculate, and the hot water was lovely. They also offered us a place to eat in the heated bar if we wanted. Recommended.

The park nearby has access to the river, which made the surrounding area nice to explore. The site itself may not be in the best location and the amenities aren’t the newest, but everything was squeaky clean, including the sanitary facilities. The staff were super friendly, the pizza was delicious, and everyone went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. Service was 10/10, and the prices were very reasonable. We’d definitely stay again.

We liked it so much we came back for a second stay. The couple who welcomed us were lovely, warmhearted, and super helpful. The showers were clean and comfortable, and the river beside the campsite was refreshing, with plenty of room to cool off. We also enjoyed walking around the village at night. For more city life, Salamanca is an easy 30-minute bus ride away. 10/10 recommended!
