Parador de Albacete

The room was top class, and both the staff and food were wonderful. It is a good distance from Albacete city, though.

The breakfast buffet was excellent, with a waiter looking after it and a chef replenishing the fresh food. They put out smaller amounts at a time, which was a nice touch. I loved the cooked breakfast, especially the ratatouille and eggs. We only had a light supper in the bar, but it was freshly made and tasty, and the olives with our drinks were delicious. The main restaurant looked tempting for another visit. We stayed one night in this beautiful, understated hotel. Marie welcomed us and was helpful and knowledgeable. There aren’t usually tea-making facilities in the room, but she quickly got us a kettle. Apparently you can reserve one when booking, which was a relief for us Brits and our tea. There are lovely little gardens to stretch your legs in, plus tennis courts and mini golf. Well worth a stop if you’re in the area. Thanks for a lovely stay.

A beautiful location, and everyone is so friendly. Top place.

The gardens and two tennis courts are lovely, and there’s a seasonal swimming pool. The old property has wide corridors, terracotta floors and wooden ceilings, with large gardens that have the feel of an inn where you can relax. Albacete city is only 4 km away, with the cathedral, knife museum and archaeological museum to visit. Recommended.
