Apartamentos Río Guadalaviar

The apartment is in a nice location. It's beside the main road but quiet, warm at night, and has two bathrooms and four rooms. It could work well for a group, with three couches in the living room for hanging out, though the couches are pretty hard on your back. The reason I'm giving it two stars is the dirt. There was pubic hair in the sink, and the plastic shampoo holder was dark brown, like it hadn't been cleaned in ages. I found wet wipes under the sink, which made me worry they might just wipe things down with those instead of cleaning properly. Who knows how many people had used the shower without it being cleaned well. My closet was full of hair too, and the tea towels we asked for were dirty.

Albarracín was spectacular, and we loved visiting. The owner was polite and attentive, and moved us to an apartment with a barbecue, though there was no grill or charcoal. The place itself needs better upkeep: the coffee maker didn't work properly, kitchen utensils were scarce, and everything felt very basic. Cleanliness could have been better too. It's about a 20-minute walk from town. Still, I'd highly recommend Albarracín.

The owner was so friendly and helpful, and we had a lovely time. We'll definitely come back.

The beds weren't very comfortable, and it took a while for the heating to warm the upstairs rooms. The owner shared tips on what to see and where to eat, and recommended a guidebook. There are bars and a restaurant very close, next door and across the street. Coffee, sugar, and instant coffee for the machine were provided. The apartments are good and have a barbecue, which would be great to use in warmer weather. Albarracín is a beautiful village and worth a visit.
