La Casa de la Estación

We spent one night at la casa. The room was okay, though the bed wasn't very good, and the woman who welcomed us didn't make us feel especially welcome. Dinner wasn't bad, but fell short of what we'd expected. There was a horrible chemical smell in the restaurant, and I woke with a bad headache. For a place that calls itself a hotel for cyclists, breakfast wasn't enough: just a few slices of toast and a little cheese and ham.

We were stopping on our way to Jalon and ended up pleasantly surprised. It's quiet and rural, with good options for hikes. The rooms are simple but clean and well kept, and the food was great for the price. The owners were very friendly and made us feel genuinely welcome.

My van broke down while I was travelling through spain, and I arrived here after a terrible day in pretty low spirits. The owners were kind and accommodating, made me some good food and brought me beers. My dog was welcome too, which was great. The room was lovely, spacious, and had a quaint, cottage-like feel. In the morning, the owner suggested a nice walk through an old tunnel with views of an old aquaduct. Later, when I needed to get back to the mechanics, he offered to drive me for 5 euros. That helped a lot, since the taxi had charged me 20 euros the day before. I'd definitely recommend this quiet, homely place in the countryside. Thanks, Dominic.

We absolutely loved staying here. The hosts were warm and welcoming, the rooms gorgeous and clean, and the restaurant stunning. It's a calming place to stay with your pet, and we loved it very much.
