The owner was friendly, and the location and striking building are real highlights. Breakfast, though, was underwhelming. At €6 per person, and in a setting like this, I expected something more natural and filling than pastries or mass-produced toast. My comments about the room are based on the only one available. It’s beautiful, carved into granite, but there’s very little ventilation and a strong musty smell. I wouldn’t suggest staying in it for several days in a row. I wonder if the radon level might be too high.

The breakfasts were spectacular, and the personal service made us feel at home. This impressive manor house is in a peaceful spot, just right for getting away from everything. It would be helpful to have clearer signs on the way in. They don’t serve lunch or dinner, though there are good places to eat in the area. It’d also be nice if the local council looked after the cultural heritage better, but that isn’t the manor house’s responsibility. I hope I can return.

The service from the owner, who also prepares a varied, well-made breakfast, was genuinely attentive. It isn’t a buffet. The rooms are quiet and comfortable, though the decor feels a little ornate and they aren’t luxurious. I enjoyed settling into the lounge with one of the large, interesting books. The property is a restored manor house, specifically a tower, turned into a rural hotel. Almost all of its original stone structure remains, and the extensive botanical garden is a feast for the senses. It’s a unique place to rest and unwind if you’re looking for peace.

Marisa is the heart and charm of this manor. She’s cultured, gracious, and absolutely enchanting. I can hardly find the words, but she touched my heart, and we’ll come back just to see her ❤️. The building is imposing and so well kept, and the garden is spectacular. The place feels like it belongs in a fairytale. I hope Marisa can live forever.
