The weather was terrible, but the place was comfortable. Staff were welcoming and efficient. My room was excellent, with enough space that I didn’t feel hemmed in, and even the washbasin plug held water! The food was better than OK.

The location is handy, with easy parking just off the road and the village only a five-minute walk away. It was quiet, too. The rooms are basic and could use a few improvements, like two pillows instead of one big one, some cushions, and more warmth in winter. The door only shut if you slammed it.

We stayed for three days and found the rooms spacious and airy, with room service and a view facing the castle. There’s a cafeteria with a terrace and dining room, plus an elevator. Parking was free and easy, the place was quiet and comfortable, and prices were reasonable.

The city and its people were so welcoming. At the hotel, the rooms were clean and spacious, the staff were friendly and helpful, and there’s a good bar and restaurant downstairs. If you happen to visit during the Medieval Festival, it’ll be an unforgettable experience. I’d recommend it 100%.
