Even getting to the apartment is a hassle, since the keys have to be collected at a hotel 3.5 kilometers away. Then check-in takes a long time because there’s only one person at reception. They also charge extra for things that are normally included elsewhere: €10 per day per towel set, more than €11 for air conditioning, and an additional fee to park in the garage.

Ivana gave us a lovely welcome. The apartment was spotless, in good shape, and in a really convenient spot. We had a 10/10 stay as a couple, and we’ll come back! 😊

I’ve stayed here three times now, twice in an apartment and once in the hotel. This latest visit was over Easter. The price is decent, but this was the second time I was promised a front-facing sea view rather than a side view and then didn’t get one. At reception they assured me the full view had been booked and paid for. To me, that’s the ultimate scam. I was told by email a few days before arrival that the apartment was ready, but mine wasn’t. The cleaning was pretty poor too. There was fluff on the floor and lots of dust under the beds, as if nobody cleans there. The only bedside lamp’s bulb had gone out, though when we mentioned it, reception gave us a replacement bulb and some toilet paper, which was missing as well. There was no bulb above the bathroom mirror, making it impossible to put on makeup or shave properly. That seems like a basic thing to have. Maintenance and other aspects are badly lacking and could be improved a lot, which is a shame because the place is worth visiting. Problems we raised, and some damage we noticed on arrival, didn’t seem to be well received at reception. I’m wary that this could cause trouble or charges later, which felt very unprofessional. If I do return, I’ll ask to have the full sea view written into the booking so I can insist on getting what was promised. Once you’re there, nobody seems willing to take responsibility for the deception.

My husband and I stayed over the Pilar long weekend and came away really happy. We loved the place, and the quality for the price is hard to beat. The staff were wonderful, especially Ivana at reception. We got on really well with her, and she was kind, helpful, and very pretty too. We’ll definitely be back. Thanks for everything!
