Apartamentos Casablanca by Marineu Vacaciones

We found the apartment very clean when we arrived, and the location right by the sea between El Cargador and La Romana beaches is great. The pool is fantastic, with lots of natural grass. Air conditioning is free, and the Wi-Fi costs extra but worked well. I was there for a week with my family in August 2020, in a ground-floor unit. It was good value for money, though the place was built years ago and needs some renovation. The bathroom door wouldn't close, and the curtains were old.

A quiet, uncrowded spot to rest, and our ground-floor place was clean. The kitchen was roomy and the house had Wi-Fi, though there was no dishwasher. The bathtub had been painted, and the paint was peeling.

The apartments are nice and in a perfect location. In the ground-floor units, the lack of ventilation made us think they may once have been commercial spaces. All the rooms except the bathroom had air conditioning. A bathroom without ventilation sounds unpleasant, but it was surprisingly okay. The terrace had no water, and the entrance was awkward and hard to access.

I'm going to miss out on the pool this vacation because the cheapest first option is actually somewhere else, right next door. Is it a different hostel? Why is it listed here? Such a silly mix-up, and so confusing.
