Hotel Complutense

The staff made this stay for me. They were so welcoming and friendly that I felt at home, and I was genuinely gutted to leave. I’ll be back for another round. My single room was small, almost like a cell, but it had what I needed: a bed, private shower, wardrobe and properly hot water most of the time. Clean and functional, just right for a 2-star budget hotel. Hotel Comptulence** is a good deal if you want a central place that’s easy on the pocket. There’s no fancy lobby or bag carrying, but you get what’s promised and can spend your money on a few pints or a nice meal instead. It is noisy, though. You’re right in the middle of a tourist town, so that comes with the territory. I kept telling myself to go to a library if I wanted silence. If you want to be in the heart of town, this place works.

The room faced baseflor, which made it quite dark. It was small but very clean, with really good beds and pillows. The staff were super friendly.

I stayed at hotel Complutense from April 22 to May 7 2025. Great rooms, great people and a great location. I give the hotel complutense a 10.

The location is good, and that’s about where the positives end. There was a lot of dust behind the bed and furniture, and the place wasn’t very tidy. There’s no soundproofing, and the Wi-Fi barely worked. In my first-floor room, there was practically no signal. I wasn’t pleased at all.
