Jaime was incredibly attentive and helpful, so kudos to him. This is a small, cozy hotel in the historic center of Alcalá de Henares, with an unbeatable location. There’s also a restaurant on the ground floor, with tables inside and out. Highly recommend it.

Everything we ordered was spot on. The patatas bravas were the best I’ve ever had, and the wine selection was great. I’ll definitely be back.

We waited about 45 minutes for the starter, cheese on sliced tomato, then another 20 minutes or so for the other two dishes. The food we ordered was pretty average and way overpriced. They didn’t offer any compensation, or even remove the bread from the bill. I don’t plan to go back.

The whole meal was tasteless and outrageously priced. My dish was meant to include fish cheeks, big prawns, saffron, and other things, but I couldn’t find any fish or saffron, and the prawns were definitely not big. At €30, the price makes no sense. They also listed prices without tax and charged €4 for a piece of bread. Maybe the fact that the place was completely empty on a Saturday evening should have warned me. It felt like a rip-off, and I’d avoid it.

Small, tidy, cozy, and welcoming, this is my favorite hotel in Alcala. The price is surprisingly affordable. It’s a nice change for anyone tired of luxury chain hotels and looking for an authentic, family-like touch.
